Dagger-Star
My new book, Dagger-Star, will be released on April 1, 2008. The website is updated, and sample chapters are available.
This story takes place in the same world as the Chronicles of the Warlands, but involves different kingdoms and characters. Very different characters. There is no mistaking Red Gloves for Xylara. Red’s a mercenary, trained to the blade. More like to kill you than anything else. And this talk of prophecy, well, as far as she is concerned its madness.
And as for the man who tells her she is Chosen . . .well, you’ll just have to read it, won’t you?
Now, it’s not necessary to read the Chronicles before reading Dagger-Star. But those that have will start to see how stories and lives can become intertwined, weaving together to form something magical.
Because that is what the best books are: pure magic that takes us out of our daily lives and sweeps us away for awhile. Writing books is as close as I’ll come to practicing magic and casting spells.
Let me know if my magic works on you, eh?
Beth

I am so excited for your new series!I was a big fan of your Warlord Plains ones and can't wait to get my hands on this one! :)
Thank you both. I can't wait to have you read it. But we are all going to have to wait for April 1, 2008.
In the meantime, I'm working on another one!
Beth
I loved the Warlord series...any more from those characters in the future???
Beth, I am so eager to read Dagger-Star. You're an auto-buy for me, after I devoured the Warprize series...and rave about it to anyone who'll listen.
Will you be having contests or giveaways of ARC's (hint hint...pretty please. LOL!)
Counting down the days until April release day!

Hi, Beth!
I'm a huge fan! I've just discovered that you have a blog!
I've already read Dagger-Star: i bought the ebook on April 2nd and I finished it on the 3rd!
It is fantastic... I particularly loved the reference to Xylara and the Warland Chronicles! It was unexpected and really appreciated!
I cried, laughed and could not stop reading even though I had to work today and it was sooooooooo late...
Honestly, I can't wait for your next one: I'll just have to read all your books again and again and again to while away the months...
Could you give me some clues about your next? Will it be of the same kind? Which, by the way, works just fine with me!
I know that Dagger-Star will be a huge success and that everybody tell you so...
take care and good luck for your writing!
After reading 'Dagger-Star,' I found that your previous trilogy mysteriously leapt into my Amazon cart when I went to buy a camera case today... :D
I love your work, I have the Warprize Trilogy on my keeper shelf and have just added Dagger-Star. Can not wait for more. Thanks for the wonderful books,
Beth,
I hope you are able to write more about the people of the plains. I loved your warprize series! It was very upseting when i got to book three to read about your needing a break.(wanted to cry) Your new book is great, but, I still long to here more about simus and Joden.... Not to mention Kier and Lara. That goes with out saying! I can't wait to read your next book White Star!!!
Saxan,
Thanks! I'm really glad you have enjoyed my books. Let me know what you think about White-Star. I confess that it suggests what might happen in the future.
Lord, did I just give a hint?
Beth
Your magic certainly worked on me, Elizabeth! My local library has the whole Warlands saga and Red Gloves (Dagger-Star in its UK/Australian incarnation) and not only have I read them all, I'm planning to buy Dagger-Star and pre-order White Star. Although I love the whole novel, it's the ending of that first novel that I keep coming back to!
