FAQ #2

"Will you write more Lara & Keir?"

This one is not easy to answer, but I am going to try. The answer is "I want to." But the reality is that publishing is a business. So the better answer is "I want to, but . . ."

Do I have ideas? Listen, those characters never stop talking to me. Try grocery shopping while mounted Plains warriors in full battle gear surround you, shouting about how the Warprize will destroy the Plains. Try driving down the road while Simus explains how he caused an uproar when he. . .

Nevermind. I am saving that one.

So the deal is that as soon as I know what I will be writing, I will let you know. And if you want more Lara and Keir (and Simus and Marcus and Prest and . . .) then let us know by posting a comment.

Next question?

I completed reading all 3 books last year and loved them all. Ms. Vaughan you have created such an excellent trilogy. I have to say all books were captivating and spellbinding. Keir's and Lara's bond is so amazing. And the secondary characters are humorous, exciting and lovable.

The only thing I'm now left with is wishing for more books with Keir and Lara or even the secondary characters. I want to read about their journey back to Xy, about the birth of their child, I want more of Heath and Atira, more of Joden, I want more of Marcus's & Liam's story and I want to know if Keir fights to reclaim his status as Warlord. There's so much potential for you to carry on the saga of the Xyians and the Firelanders. Please Ms. Vaughan write more....

I've read all three books in the trilogy so many times I can't even count. basically I read them back to back over and over again cause I love returning to lara and keir's land. I love everything about them the characters, the cultures, the lessons I learned from reading the books, the strong bond that lara and keir have that pushes them through to never give up and save their people. You get so swept up in the tale that you're not even aware that day switched to night and staying up too late when you have school tomorrow. Each time I read the books I learn something new or finally get something I missed so it makes me read them over and over. I loved they way you finshed it off but can't help to say that I want the tale to continue so that I can get swept away again and be in the plains living the adventure I've always wanted in life. reading these books give me a newfound strenghth that helps me get through the day and days to come. all I ask is PLEASE write more on lara and keir. anything so I can get swept away. I don't care how long it takes. I love everything you write and will wait patiently for when you decide to return to the land of lara and keir.

Ohmygod!!!! I love Kier and Lara. Please, pretty please write more. Do we need to petition? I will do what you need. Maybe post about it on my blog see if I can get any traffic over here. (Unfortunately, I am small potatoes). But hey, every little bit should help.

I had read a wonderful review of Warprize from a fellow blogger. Her review made me go out and read the first book. From then on I was hooked and if you happen to ever write more. I am so there.

Here is a link to her review:

Pretty please! I wanna know what happens with Heath and Atira, Marcus and Liam, Joden, Simus, and, of course, Lara and Keir. Lara and Keir don't even have to be the main characters. I'll settle for little visits with them as I read about the others.

yes, please write more of Lara and Kier's adventures especially comparing and contrasting their lives between the Plains and Xy city.

i loved all three books, and am eager to read more of their lives and how they serve both their diverse heritages and still manage to stay together and in love.

Oh Puleeze!!! More Lara and Kier (and Simus, etc.) I have read the trilogy multiple times and I never do that. There are so many more stories to be told!

More... more.... more please. I ahve read the three books so often that I think I can almost quote the stories word for word.
Only a few authors have that distinction on my keeper shelf so you are in good company :D

Absolutely! This is one of my favorite trilogies and I recommend it to everyone I know. When I finished Warlord, I was sad to say goodbye to Lara, Keir, Marcus and all the others but I kept hoping that other books about them would follow. I'm crossing fingers and toes!:)

Yes!! We need more about Keir and Lara and all those interesting secondary characters. I've always hoped that someday you'd write more, how could we not want to read the rest of their stories.

I would love to read more... as long as it's honest. As long as you don't force it just for a paycheck or because we're prattering at you.

That was a fabulous story arc. I love it. When you feel you're ready to tell another arc - then I'll beg you to write it.

But please don't let me badger you into it before you're ready.

I actually think that you left the last book in Warlord in loose ends. As in, what about Liam and Marcus, there is no mention of them, and yet I had the feeling that from Lara's point of view, Marcus matters A LOT. To top that one off, there were so many times that the Warking was mentioned, I thought that the Saga would end in a way that indicated exactly what a Warking is. (I don't know if I make sense, so please excuse that. :D ) The books were so amazing. In fact, I have to admit that if a gun were to be placed on my temple (because I hate choosing between good writers) and someone asked me who is my favorite Adult Romance Novel Author, I would tell them your name. Well, anyway. I really, really, really crave another story of Lara and Keir. And you know those books that go on and on and on, because the author just doesn't want to shut up about them? Well, I know (for a fact, actually) that if there was another book of Lara and Keir, it wouldn't turn out like that at all. And that is because in Warlord (and because you are an amazing writer, of course) you mentioned things that one can always elaborate on. So I would advise (actually, I'm trying to sound smart, because I really want to PLEAD) for you to write another story for Lara and Keir, even if that one is the last. Who said you have to stop at a Trilogy?

I need more Keir and Lara. And Simus and Rafe and Joden...everyone.

That will happen once springs comes. Will Keir bid for another warlord spot? Simus too? and of course there is Liam and Marcus. And that just on the plains...

What gonna happen in Xy. There is a definite dissonant group led by Durnst.

May thing need to be bought to conclusion!

I don't think I've ever been so enthralled by a book series as I have been with the Warprize trilogy. If there's anything I can do to encourage the publishers to let you write more (petitions, letters, anything) please let me know! You need only drop a hint on your page and it will be done.

Does anyone else suddenly get the need to re-read books. Last night I was thinking about the first time Lara officially met Warlord Keir....so I had to go and re-read Warprize, then Warsworn, then....well, I'm sure you get the picture :)

And I loved meeting up with them all again. The thing is, Warlord ended at a pause, it didn't end. There HAS be another book out there. I mean, we don't even know why Keir was dreaming of a Warking! Then there is what will happen in the spring (I so hope they stay on the Plains :) Does Keir fight in the trials to become Warlord again? And what about Marcus and Liam? And Lara's baby? Please, please, please write another book about Keir and Lara!!!! Thank you :)

This week I went back and reread the series. Having read it many times I laughed at myself for feeling worried in areas about how things would end up. You are an amazing author and you have created a fantastic world. I would love to read more about the characters in this series, both on the plains and in Xy. I am very curious about the fates of Marcus, Liam and Simus and pretty much every one else.

Hmmm... if I had to answer whether I wanted more of the warprize series and lara and keir and their people, it would be a definite YES.

A rather obvious opening has been left if the introduction of the term Warking in warsworn and re-brought up in warlord... I'm hoping...

Dear Elizabeth

I recently finished re-reading the Warlands trilogy (for the third time) on my brand new and shiny kindle. I liked the books as much if not better as the first two times. This time, when I finished Warlord I noticed how many story threads were still floating loose. What about Marcus and Liam? Marcus deserves a happy ending too, right? And what about Amyu -- surely she can't remain a child forever. What about Atira and Heath? How will Lara and Keir go about melding Xyian and plains cultures?

In short, I want more books!

Keep writing,

Anatwork

So obviously I want another book. It's plain that the forth, or fifth, or sixth, book needs to be Warking. There are way to many questions and plot lines hanging out there for me not to want more. What of Liam and Marcus, Meara, Atira and Heath, poor sad Joden, and the fate of Keir's leadership in the Plains. I want more!

I have just finished reading the warlords trilogy, and have now bought daggerstar and whitestar. I would really like to read more in the warlords series in the future, and hope that you write more books detailing these characters stories. Thank you.

Please please write more about Keir and Lara. They're brilliant characters that I fell in love with nearly instantly. And the cast that surrounds them is equally enthralling. Who wouldn't lose their hearts to Simus and Lara's other guards? Who doesn't yearn for an Anna to take care of them? Please I have to know what happens next. Pretty please with gurt on top and a side of kavage.
